Sheryl Morgan

Sheryl is a multi-talented individual with a sharp intellect and a truly caring heart.  When she isn’t busy coding on her computer, playing guitar, sharpening her cooking skills or watching one of her many favorite shows, she is offering constructive criticism and valuable advice to her friends and loved ones.  Sheryl is the type of person who is always there for her friends and family when they need her and she genuinely cares about the well-being of others.

Anybody who knows Sheryl well will tell you that she is a genuine person with a quirky sense of humor and a unique laugh that is very contagious.  When I first met Sheryl in real life, we met at a Starbucks on the UWS of Manhattan and I instantly gravitated to her down-to-Earth, yet focused, personality (in hindsight, I think it is funny that we met at a Starbucks because Sheryl hates coffee but she loves her hot chocolate and tea with cream and sugar). After talking to her for several hours by phone and in real life, I knew she was a great person with admirable traits.

I will never forget my disbelief when Sheryl told me she loved a famous Oklahoma band called Hanson.  She told me that she decided to learn to play guitar because of Hanson and that she used to love all of their songs.  I instantly thought she was trolling me because I grew up in Oklahoma and most of my friends in Oklahoma were only fans of the Flaming Lips, Nirvana and Sonic Youth.

I am very thankful that I met Sheryl and I honestly have to give credit to my best friend Tiffany Armour for making me sign up for online dating to get back into the dating world. I never really expected much to come from online dating because it is basically the digital land of the flakes and I had some really bad experiences with some of the people I met online.  When I first met Sheryl, I was working 6-7 days a week and did not really have much free time and a relationship was the last thing on my mind but I decided to take Tiff’s advice and grow as a person.  Sometimes when I look back at our relationship, it is amazing to think that we randomly met online because we have so much in common that it just feels natural to know her and her loving family. If we had not both been online looking for somebody special, we probably would have never met because Manhattan is a fast-paced town and our working lives are very different and would never have led up to randomly bumping into each other and engaging in a conversation.

I could not ask for a better woman and I truly feel blessed to have met Sheryl.  She has helped nurture my positive traits and we have always been able to sit and talk through any problems that arise which is a key to a healthy relationship.  I am happy to come home to my boo and it is great to know that I am loved even in my darkest hours.
